United Way Kick Off


Image of the United Way presentation at the plant    United Way presenters kicked off this year’s campaign to employees on November 14th. Presenters included: Grace Nava ,Turning Point; Samantha Moyer, Parkland HS Senior and Teen Works Chair; and Daniella De Leon, Director of Labor Relations at United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley. Joining them was Tim Groller, Business Agent for Teamsters 773 and former Buzzi employee. The goal for this year's campaign at the Plant is to reach 25% employee participation.
   Key need areas for United Way support are: Education, Healthy Aging, Food Access and Emergency Services.

Preparing for Winter Work

  On February 2nd the annual plant shutdown will start. It is anticipated that the repair and maintenance work on the plant capital and infrastructure projects should take about a month to complete.

Communities - Employees - Owners

  For the 7th year, employees of the Stockertown Plant will be collecting canned and packaged goods to donate to the Nazareth Area Food Bank.
  The donation event will begin on January 14 and will conclude on February 13. The delivery of the collected items will occur on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2019.
  A special luncheon will be provided for the winning collection team!

  United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley, started in 1918 as the Bethlehem War Chest Association, turned 100 in 2018. It is one of 1800 United Ways around the world.

United Way partners include global, national and local businesses, nonprofits, civic and faith organizations, as well as educators, labor, health organizations, government and more.
