Picture Thank You Cards
For the 2018-2019 school year the Stockertown Plant hosted more than 690 visitors. These visitors ranged from 4 years to 17 years of age with the majority being middle schoolers. The younger visitors were accompanied by parents for the Bring Your Son/Daughter to Work Day; school districts included Bangor, Nazareth, Northampton and Pen Argyl.

Most of the visits included The Hercules Meadow and plant tours. At the meadow students assisted in planting, taking bird walks (18 species identified), demonstrations of water conservation and landfill impacts as well as weather predicting. Plant tours followed the path of making cement from quarry to the finish mill as well as spending time with the control room seeing the technology support and impacts on manufacturing today.

The pictures on either side were taken this past winter by Robert Raub.

These refreshing views can help to offset the 2019 summer heat.

Mr. Raub, a BUUSA Stockertown employee, titled these pictures

"Winter 2019 Quarry Visions."
