In the United States, Buzzi Unicem USA operates eight cement plants, with an annual capacity of approximately 8.5 million metric tons per year. The distribution network, which greatly benefits from river transport opportunities, includes 29 terminals. Buzzi Unicem USA, which stems from the merger, early in 2004, of RC Cement (Buzzi Unicem) and Lone Star Industries (Dyckerhoff) serves the Midwest, Southwest, Northeast and Southeast sections of the country.
